Søren founded TransEmbryo in 1990 and today he owns the company with Elisabeth. He is a graduate from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen. He has undergone further education abroad, particularly in the USA in relation to reproduction and embryo technology. Additionally, Søren is also a censor in reproduction at the Agricultural University and the University of Copenhagen. Søren has performed more than 10,000 flush sessions and has transplanted more than 50,000 embryos over 30 years. He has also conducted several biotechnology projects with national and international universities, including those related to OPU/IVF. Søren led the production of the first commercial IVF calves in Denmark in 2013. The project was a joint venture with Aarhus University.
Elisabeth is a co-owner of TransEmbryo. She is a veterinarian who graduated from the Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover in Germany. She has 12 years of experience in large animal practice before her further education to become an ET veterinarian in 2012. Elisabeth has undergone further education in the USA, particularly in relation to OPU/IVF. She also participated in the practical introduction of OPU/IVF in Denmark in 2013. She is involved in a biotechnology project (EliteOva) with the Danish Innovation Foundation and the University of Copenhagen. In addition, she is also involved in training new ET veterinarians and technicians in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
