TransEmbryo is owned and operated by veterinarians Søren Ernst Madsen and Elisabeth Ravnevand, both of whom have a special interest in cattle reproduction. TransEmbryo was established by Søren Ernst Madsen in 1990.
Søren is a graduate of The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University and has been involved in the development of embryo transplantation in Denmark.
Elisabeth graduated from Tierartzliche Hochschule Hannover and has since specialized in the clinical and theoretical aspects of cattle reproduction. Our common goal is to be innovators in the professional area and to be able to offer clients the best possible advice and service.

Tirsvad Genetics is a subsidiary of TransEmbryo. The company operates as a breeding company that since it was established in 1994 has had a main activity within the Holstein breed. From 2008 additional breeding work was started with the Japanese Wagyu breed (also known as the breed that produces Kobe Beef in Japan). Tirsvad Genetics has its own donor stables and associated clinic facilities.
The goal is to intensively utilize the most modern biotechnologies to produce breeding animals that, in addition to productivity, also ensure health, animal welfare, climate and sustainability.
